EXHIBITION "THE NOBLES OF KERNAVĖ. COSTUMES OF THE XIII - XIV CENTURIES"
Patrons of the exhibition - President Dalia Grybauskaitė and the Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO
The exhibition presents four historical costumes of Kernavė nobles. They reveal a whole world of symbols of power and authority from the 13th-14th centuries, filled with luxurious fabrics, bright colours and exquisite jewellery. The costumes on display comprise more than 60 reconstructed items of clothing, from shoes and weapons to hats. Most of them were made according to the technology of the time and required meticulous handwork, knowledge of the craft and patience.
This exhibition combines the luxury of Kernavė's nobility with the craftsmanship of its artisans, thus inviting visitors to rediscover a magnificent and colourful page in the history of the first capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
The exhibition can be visited from 2022-12-16 to 2022-03-26 during the opening hours of the Kernavė Archaeological Site Museum.

EXHIBITION "CURONIAN SINGLE-BLADED WEAPONS"
The legacy of the Curonian tribe is gaining more and more meaning and significance in the region, thanks to the archaeological and historical research carried out in recent decades. The unique weaponry of the Curonian tribe has begun to emerge in the overall regional context. The richly wrought brass scabbards contain sword blades and fighting knives of exceptional shape. The tradition of weapon-making, which stretches back over several centuries, is the heritage of the warlike Curonian tribe. The exhibition of reconstructions of fighting knives and single-bladed swords is a way to take a closer look at the traditions of this craft.
The exhibition "Single-Bladed Curonian Weapons" will be on display in the exhibition space of the Kernavė Archaeological Site Museum, during the museum's opening hours, from 21 October to 12 December 2022.
The exhibition has been prepared by knife maker - gunsmith Vykintas Motuza, gunsmiths Götz Breitenbücher, Adomas Sviklas, Tomas Vosylius, and jewellers Paulius Rukas and Evaldas Babenskas.
