The Archaeological site museum of Kernavė
We invite to explore the exposition of the Archaeological site museum of Kernavė at Kerniaus st. 4A, Kernavė! The interactive exposition will introduce you to the UNESCO World heritage site of Kernavė, the work of archaeologists, their findins since 1979 and the research that is conducted every year.
The halls of the museum present different periods of history since the first settlements in the area of Kernavė up to the 13th-14th century - the period during which Kernavė became a flourishing city of craftsmen. The modern exposition holds authentic exhibits and shows how different artefacts were made by the hands of ancient craftsmen. We are able to share these images with the help of experimental archaeologists and craftsmen and multiple screens throughout the entire exposition.
